    下午好！

    我很高兴出席中国银行业协会与韩国银行联合会谅解备忘录的签署仪式。首先，我谨代表中国银行业协会向为此项工作付出辛勤努力的双方相关人员表示衷心感谢！

    作为友好邻邦，中韩两国一直以来相互学习，全面发展长期友好关系。往昔岁月见证了中韩两国在经济、文化、教育和科技等领域交流的不断加深，双边关系的日益密切。在各行各业，中韩两国都有着紧密的联系，银行业也不例外。特别是全球金融危机爆发之后，各国银行业迫切需要进一步加强合作与交流。

    目前，全球经济正步入一个不稳定的复苏阶段，中韩两国都致力于本国经济的稳定增长。在此重要时刻，中国银行业协会与韩国银行业联合会签署谅解备忘录，携手共进，将有利于进一步加强两会的合作与交流，推动两国银行业的相互了解，促进两国银行业金融机构海外经营发展。

    我希望，本次谅解备忘录签署仪式能够取得圆满成功，使之成为我们进一步加强交流与合作的良好开端。

    我希望，在谅解备忘录框架下所进行的一系列活动能够更好地服务于我们的会员银行，充分发挥协会的服务职能与作用。

    我希望，我们所做的一切努力能够使两国银行业和谐发展，更加具有竞争力！

    Remarks at MOU Signing Ceremony Between CBA and KFB

    Distinguished Vice Chairman Taesik ROH, Ladies and Gentleman,

    Good Afternoon.

    I'm delighted to attend the signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding (MOU) between China Banking Association (CBA) and Korea Federation of Banks (KFB). First of all, I'd like to convey my thanks to the hard work from both sides, who have been dedicated to the preparations for MOU draft and this ceremony.

    Being close neighbors, both geographically and culturally, China and Korea have been keeping learning from each other and developed long-term friendship in all around. The flying time witnessed the increasingly strengthened bilateral ties and exchanges in economy, culture, education, science and technology, and in other areas. As all industries in both countries become more interactive, the banking sector is of no exception. Further cooperation and communication in banking systems stands imperative and widely recognized, particularly in the aftermath of the global financial crisis.

    For the time being, the global economy is getting on an unstable recovery track and our two nations are devoted ourselves into steady economic growth. Given such a unique financial hardship, the CBA and KFB decide to sign an MOU, working hand in hand, with a view to promoting the cooperation and exchange between our two institutions, developing further understanding between Chinese banks and their Korean peers, and facilitating the overseas establishments of banks in both countries.

    I hope, with the ceremony completing successfully, the MOU could be a good start for the future communication and cooperation.

    I hope, with a series of activities being worked out under the MOU framework, the function to serve our member banks will be brought into full play.

    And I hope, with all the efforts we make, the banking sectors in both countries could become more competitive and more harmonious.

    At last, wish our cooperation a great success.
