Third Session of the Fourth Standing Executive Board & the Board of Supervisors Held in Beijing
 

The Third Session of the Fourth Standing Executive Board and the Board of Supervisors of CBA was held in Beijing on December 10. Twelve members of the Standing Executive Board as well as five Supervisors participated the session chaired by Executive Vice President Liu Zhangjun.

The Proposal of Hainan Rural Credit Union¡¯s Joining China Banking Association, the Proposal of Ten Locally Registered Foreign Banks¡¯ Joining China Banking Association, and the Proposal of Supplementing the Executive Members and Standing Executive Members were adopted at the conference. Ten locally registered foreign-funded banks, including HSBC Bank (China) Co. Ltd., Bank of East Asia (China) Limited, DBS Bank (China) Ltd, Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (China) Ltd., Mizuho Corporate Bank (China) Ltd., Hang Seng Bank (China) Limited., First Sino Bank, Xiamen International Bank and ABN AMRO (China) Co. Ltd. were admitted to join the Association, Bank of East Asia (China) LImited and DBS Bank (China) Ltd. were admitted to become executive members, while HSBC Bank (China) Co. Ltd. was admitted to become standing executive member (Vice President member) of the Association.

Reports on the Association¡¯s work of 2007, the implementation of the 2007 budget and budget for 2008 were made at the meeting. It is agreed to submit the Report on China Banking Association¡¯s Work of 2007 as well as the Report on Implementation of China Banking Association¡¯s 2007 Budget and Budget for 2008 to the seventh General Assembly.

The Proposal of Submitting Candidate for Executive Vice President to the General Assembly was approved as well.

The Board of Supervisors approved the report on the implementation of CBA¡¯s 2007 budget and budget for 2008, and is to provide a statement to the General Assembly.
