Legal Committee was founded on July 14, 2006, with the aim of
protecting the legal interests of members and the banking industry
and improving operation environment of the industry. Mr. Zhu
Min, Assistant President of Bank of China is currently Director
of the Committee.
Duties of the Legal Committee include:
• Formulate rules and regulations on rights protection and
promote construction of a rights protection system;
• Make legislative, administrative and judicial suggestions
according to needs of members and the industry and strive for
support from relating state organs;
• Deal with rights protection petitions of members and
make resolutions;
• Organize and take actions against deeds that conflict
with the interests of members;
• Set up a system of inspiration and penalty so as to promote
construction of a favorable financial environment;
• Create database for legal experts and provide legal consultancy
to members;
• Guide and coordinate rights protection activities in provincial
and municipal banking associations;
