CBA Loan Syndications and Trading Association
 

CBA Loan Syndications and Trading Association (CBALSTA) was established on August 28, 2006. Mr. Zhao Lin, Vice President of China Construction Bank was elected Director of CBALSTA.

Acting as a special committee of CBA, CBALSTA aims at promoting the idea of syndicated loans, regulating and promoting their development, increasing loan liquidity, and leading loan syndications and trading market into healthy development.

CBALSTA exercises the following duties:
• Promote the idea of syndicated loans and increase understanding of syndicated loans;
• Regulate Chinese syndicated loan market, safeguard order of syndicated loan market, and draw up rules for syndicated loans and its trading;
• Formulate demonstration document for syndicated loans and its trading, promote standardization of syndicated loans and its trading, decrease trading cost and increase trading efficiency;
• Establish primary and secondary market and promote innovation of syndicated loan products;
• Collect, coordinate and publish statistics, provide opportunity for information exchange, and foster communication and cooperation among members;
• Study pricing methods and relevant legal, accounting and taxation system;
• Learn from international syndicated loans and organize activities including training, forum, symposium and international exchanges;
• Coordinate issues occurred in syndicated loans and trading and promote cooperation with domestic and overseas institutions in syndicated loans and trading;
• Make suggestions on relating policies and regulations;
• Take self-regulatory penalties against members violating rules concerning syndicated loans and trading;
• Deal with issues handed over from CBRC and CBA.
